i’ve got a gland that calls out a -212 quad ring. is this the right size, and how many come in the pack?

The key callout is the dash size. These are -212 size Quad (Quattro) Rings, and they’re sold 5 per pack.

these are the quad rings, right? not regular o-rings? just want to make sure before I order a pack for my cylinder rebuild

Quad rings, yes. The four-lobed profile sets them apart from standard o-rings and gives them better stability in the groove, less rolling and twisting during movement. These are Buna-N material, sized at 7/8 inch by 1/8 inch, dash size -212, and they come five to a pack. If that matches what you pulled off the cylinder, you're good to go.

what's the temp range on these quad rings? got an application runnin pretty hot and need to know if buna-n can handle it

Buna-N material in these rings holds up from -40°F all the way up to 240°F. If your application stays under that ceiling, you're in good shape. Anything pushing past 240°F and you'd want to look at a different compound.
