these come in a 6-pack, but what's the actual temperature range on them? got some equipment that sees some real cold mornings and hot afternoons both

Buna-N handles a pretty wide swing. These rings are rated from -40°F on the cold end up to 240°F on the high side, so seasonal temperature swings in most field environments fall well within that range.
