got a 4 inch bore cylinder, will this Style 1800 seal sit right in a 3.44 groove, or am i missin something

The key callouts are a 4.00 inch bore, 3.44 inch groove diameter, and a 0.269 inch seal height. It also lists a bore tolerance of plus or minus 0.002 inches, and the seal cross section is 0.087 inch with a cross section tolerance of +0.006 / -0. Those are the dimensions you would match up to your cylinder groove and bore.

Got a 4-inch bore cylinder that needs a new piston seal, will this one fit, and is there anything I need to know about the piston diameter before I go throwing it in?

For a 4.00-inch bore, this seal is spec'd to work with a piston diameter of 3.999 inches. That dimension is given for pistons without wear rings, so if your piston runs wear rings, that measurement may not apply directly. Bore tolerance is plus or minus 0.002 inches, and the piston diameter tolerance runs plus zero, minus 0.006 inches, so there's a little room on the tight side. The groove diameter is 3.44 inches with a seal height of 0.269 inches. Get those dimensions confirmed on your piston before you install and you should be in good shape.
