trying to swap out an old piston seal, will this one fit a 4.00 bore and 3.60 groove dia?

Fit comes down to the bore and groove dimensions, and this seal is sized for a 4.00 inch bore with a 3.60 inch groove diameter. The seal cross section is 0.085 inch, and the matching piston diameter (F) is 3.999 inch with a +0 / -0.004 tolerance.

Got a cylinder with a 4-inch bore that needs a new piston seal. This the right one, or do I need to be looking at something else?

For a 4.00 inch bore, this seal is built to fit. The piston diameter it's sized for comes in at 3.999 inches, with a tolerance of +0 / -0.004, so it should drop right into a standard 4-inch piston setup. The groove diameter is 3.60 inches, and the cross-section runs 0.085 inches. As long as your existing groove matches those dimensions, you're in good shape.
