trying to swap out a fitting on a -10 hose, is this one the straight female swivel with 7/8-14 threads?

does this fitting work without a mandrel, or do i need to have one on hand before i put it together?

No mandrel needed for this one. The 4401-10S is built to assemble without that extra tool, which saves a step and makes field installation a good bit less fussy. Just make sure you're working with a -10 hose size, and you're set to go.
