What kind of hydraulic hose does this fitting work with?

This fitting is made for use with -08 hoses.

fitting says reusable but do I need any special tooling to put it on, or does it just thread on by hand once the hose is prepped?

No mandrel is required with this one, which is a big part of why folks gravitate toward reusable fittings for field work. You prep your -08 hose, thread the socket onto it, then assemble the body. Standard wrenches handle the rest. The 0.94 hex size keeps things straightforward without needing anything exotic in your toolbox.
