trying to step a 2 inch npt port down, is this the bushing that goes from 2-11-1/2 male npt to 1-11-1/2 female npt

Steps a 2-11-1/2 male NPT connection down to a 1-11-1/2 female NPT port. It’s an Eaton Aeroquip 2081 Series steel reducer bushing made for external pipe thread to internal pipe thread.

That's what this one does. The male end threads into your 2-11/2 NPT connection and the female side accepts a 1-11/2 NPT fitting, so you're reducing from a 2-inch down to a 1-inch in a single piece. It's a bushing-style adapter, so it threads right in without needing a separate coupling in between.
