got a line with 1-1/2-11-1/2 male NPT on it, and i need to step it down to a 1-11-1/2 female NPT. is that what this bushing does?

It’s a pipe to pipe steel bushing that adapts from a 1-1/2-11-1/2 male NPTF thread on one end to a 1-11-1/2 female NPTF thread on the other, so it’s meant for that exact step-down connection.

Got a 1-inch female NPT port on a manifold and need to connect it up to a 1-1/2-inch male NPT line. This bushing do that job?

That's what this fitting is built for. The male end is 1-1/2 inch NPT at 11-1/2 threads per inch, and the female end is 1 inch NPT at the same thread pitch. Threads up into your manifold's female port and accepts the larger male line on the outside. Eaton Aeroquip 2081 series, steel construction, fits grease, instrumentation, and most hydraulic system applications.
