does this nut work with 25mm OD tubing or is that the thread size? trying to make sure i order the right part before it ships

The 25mm measurement refers to the outer diameter of the tube this nut is built for, not the thread. The threading on this fitting is M 36x2.0, which is a separate spec. So if you're running 25mm OD tube in your system, you've got the right part.
