Will this adapter work alright for hooking up some instrumentation lines?

i got a 1/4 npt male coming off a line and need to adapt it to a 3/8 npt female port, is this the right piece?

Function-wise, yes. This adapter is a straight steel fitting with 1/4-18 male NPT on one side and 3/8-18 female NPT on the other, so it steps a 1/4 NPT male connection into a 3/8 NPT female thread.
