Been trying to track down a 1/2 male NPT to 3/8 female NPT elbow adapter for a while now, this the right part for that?

Yeah, that's exactly what this one is. The male end is 1/2-14 NPT and the female end is 3/8-18 NPT, and it comes in at a 90 degree elbow configuration.
