Product Questions & Answers

Will this restrictor work in a marine application?
Question by: Rex C on Mar 7, 2026, 8:14 AM
Given its application for Marine/Military environments, this steel adapter is likely suitable for marine applications.

got a 3/4-16 JIC female port on a valve block and need something to restrict flow going into it, will this fit up to that without needing extra adapters?
Question by: Troy K on Mar 24, 2025, 9:54 PM
A straight male-to-female JIC restrictor in 3/4-16 on both ends is exactly what that application calls for. The male end threads directly into your female port, and the female end receives whatever JIC male fitting is coming off your line. No extra adapters needed for a standard 3/4-16 JIC connection on either side.

got a hose end that’s 3/4-16 JIC. is this the one that goes male on one side and female on the other, straight through?
Question by: Floyd C on May 8, 2025, 12:19 PM
For a straight connection, it matches 3/4-16 male JIC 37 degree flare on one end and 3/4-16 female JIC 37 degree flare on the other. Both ends are SAE 37 flare, so it is meant to mate with standard JIC 37 degree flare seats.

trying to slow flow down a touch, is this the straight restrictor style or just a regular union?
Question by: Glen C on Feb 2, 2026, 9:48 PM
Built as a straight restrictor, it’s meant to limit flow while still giving you a straight-through JIC flare connection. It’s not just a plain pass-through adapter.

what industries is this adapter actually built for? trying to figure out if it fits our operation before ordering
Question by: Ralph R on Feb 16, 2026, 2:08 PM
Eaton Aeroquip built this one for some pretty demanding sectors, including marine and military applications, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage processing, and offshore drilling. If your operation falls into any of those categories, it was specifically engineered with those environments in mind.
