Will this adapter work to connect a 11/16-16 O-ring face seal to a 9/16-18 JIC flare fitting?

Yes, this steel adapter is specifically made to connect an 11/16-16 male O-ring face seal to a 9/16-18 male JIC 37-degree flare fitting. It's a straight adapter, so it'll give you a direct connection.

Got a hydraulic line running 3/8 tube with a JIC fitting on one end and an o-ring face seal port on the other. this adapter gonna bridge that gap straight across?
Question by: Freddie M on Apr 20, 2025, 9:19 PM
For a #6 application, yes. One end is 11/16-16 Male O-Ring Face Seal and the other is 9/16-18 Male JIC 37 degree flare, sized for 3/8 inch tube OD on the JIC side. Both ends are male, so you're threading into female ports on each piece of equipment. Straight configuration means no offset, just a direct inline connection between those two fitting types.

trying to swap an old fitting out, is this the straight adapter that goes from 11/16-16 MORS over to 9/16-18 male JIC?

It is a straight steel adapter with 11/16-16 male O-ring face seal on one end and 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other, commonly called #6 MORS x #6 MJ.

got a JIC 37 flare port on my hydraulic manifold and need to tie into an O-ring face seal line, this straight adapter do that job?
Question by: Roy W on Dec 12, 2025, 7:21 AM
That's what this fitting handles. One end is 11/16-16 male O-ring face seal, the other is 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare. Run it between those two connection types and you've got a solid, leak-resistant joint. Both thread sizes are standard, so if your manifold port and your ORFS line match those specs, you're in good shape. Overall length comes in at 1.3 inches, which keeps the assembly compact.
