Got a hydraulic line coming off a pump with a 1/2 NPT male fitting on it. Need to tie into a port that's SAE O-Ring Boss, 7/8-14. This adapter go between those two?
Question by: Todd R on May 17, 2025, 9:24 AM
That's exactly the application this adapter covers. One end is 7/8-14 Male SAE O-Ring Boss, which threads into a straight thread ORB port, and the other end is 1/2-14 Male NPT, which connects to standard NPT female fittings. Both thread sizes line up with what you're describing, so it should bridge that connection without issue.

trying to hook a straight thread o-ring boss port to a pipe thread line, is this the right adapter?

For that kind of hookup, this part is a straight steel adapter that goes from a 7/8-14 male SAE O-ring boss (straight thread O-ring) end to a 1/2-14 male NPT end.
