Eaton Aeroquip put this one together for some pretty demanding environments. The listed applications cover marine and military use, chemical processing, pulp and paper use, offshore drilling, and food and beverage processing. If your setup falls into any of those categories, you're in the right ballpark. The materials and construction are suited for the fluid compatibility and pressure demands those industries typically throw at fittings.

got a hose end that’s 1/2-20 JIC, and the port i’m going into is ORB. is this the right piece to tie those together

Function-wise it is a straight adapter that bridges an SAE O-Ring Boss male connection to a JIC 37 degree flare male connection, and both ends are 1/2-20 thread.
