got a hose end with a 1-5/8-12 JIC flare on it. will this adapter let me hook it to an SAE o-ring boss port with the same 1-5/8-12 thread?

You can use it to bridge those two styles. One end is a 1-5/8-12 male SAE O-Ring Boss (straight thread O-ring) and the other end is a 1-5/8-12 male JIC 37 degree flare, and it is a straight adapter.

got a valve with a 1-5/8-12 ORB port and my hose end is JIC, is this the right straight adapter to marry those up?

what industries is this adapter actually used in? asking cause we run equipment across a few different use and trying to figure out if this'd work across the board
