trying to swap out an old elbow adapter, is this one the kind that goes from SAE o-ring boss to JIC 37 flare, both 7/8-14?

Got a hydraulic line on a piece of off-highway equipment that needs a 45 degree turn between a straight-thread port and a JIC flare fitting. This the right adapter for that?

That setup is exactly what this adapter handles. One end is a 7/8-14 Male SAE O-Ring Boss, which threads into a straight-thread port, and the other end is a 7/8-14 Male JIC 37 degree flare. The 45 degree elbow geometry gives you that angled routing you need without having to force a bend into your hose. Both ends are the same thread size, so there's no reducing going on here.
