got a #20 ORB port on a hydraulic manifold and need to run a JIC line off it, this the right adapter for that?

That's exactly the use case this fitting covers. One end is a 1-5/8-12 Male SAE O-Ring Boss, which threads directly into a standard #20 ORB port. The other end is a 1-5/8-12 Female JIC 37 degree flare swivel, so your JIC hose end connects right to it. The swivel on the female side makes it easier to get your line oriented without fighting the fitting during assembly. Straight configuration, no offset.
