does this plug come with the o-ring already, or do i need to track that down separate?
Question by: Marvin T on May 28, 2025, 3:59 PM
The seal is included. Part number 22617-12 ships with the adapter, so you won't need to source it separately before installation.

got a port with 1-1/16-12 straight thread ORB, is this the right hex plug for it?
Question by: Danny A on Aug 20, 2025, 9:40 PM
For a 1-1/16-12 Male SAE O-Ring Boss (straight thread O-ring) plug, this part matches that thread and style. It’s an Eaton Aeroquip 900598 series O-ring boss plug meant to close off an ORB port.

Will this plug work okay in a marine environment where it'll see some saltwater?
Question by: Ricky A on Oct 9, 2025, 5:47 PM
Given its applications in marine and military settings, this steel adapter plug should hold up reasonably well to saltwater exposure. Keep in mind that even steel can corrode over time, so regular inspection is a good idea.
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 11, 2025, 1:29 PM
what industries is this plug typically used in, and would it hold up in a marine setting?
Question by: Rhonda H on Jun 27, 2025, 5:40 PM
Marine and military applications are both listed uses for this fitting, alongside chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage processing, and offshore drilling. Those are pretty demanding environments, so the 900598 series from Eaton Aeroquip is built with that kind of exposure in mind. If your setup involves saltwater or heavy moisture, you're working within the intended application range for this part.
