what industries is this adapter actually built for? seen a lot of generic stuff out there and wanna make sure this one fits the kind of work we do

Eaton Aeroquip built this for some pretty demanding environments. It's spec'd for marine and military use, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage processing, and offshore drilling. Those aren't light-duty applications, so the construction reflects that. If your operation falls into any of those categories, this adapter was put together with your kind of conditions in mind.
