trying to hook a 1/2-14 npt line into a jic setup, is this the tee that does that?

Built for that exact thread change, this adapter has a 1/2-14 male NPT on one end and 7/8-14 male JIC 37 degree flare connections on the run and the branch, in a tee body.

got a 1/2-14 NPT port on a manifold block and need to split off two JIC lines from it -- this tee gonna handle that setup?

That's what this fitting is built for. The run port is 1/2-14 male NPT, so it threads straight into your manifold, and both branch outlets are 7/8-14 male JIC with a 37 degree flare. You get two JIC connections off one NPT port without needing extra adapters in between. Works for hydraulic, instrumentation, and chemical processing lines, so if your manifold falls into any of those categories you should be in good shape.
