got a tee fitting here with 1/4-18 NPT on the branch port, does this one match up with a 9/16-18 JIC on the run ends?

That's what this fitting does. The branch port is 1/4-18 male NPT, and the run connections are 9/16-18 male JIC 37-degree flare. So if your line has a JIC flare seat and you're tapping in a NPT branch, this is the right configuration for that setup.

That's right, this is a tee adapter. It's got a 1/4-18 Male NPT branch on one side and a 9/16-18 Male JIC 37 deg Flare run on the other two.
