what's the thread setup on this tee exactly, NPT on one end and JIC on the other?

The branch port is 1-11/2 male NPT and the run port is 1-5/16-12 male JIC 37 degree flare. So yes, you've got two different thread types on one fitting, which is exactly the point. That combination lets you tie an NPT-threaded pipe line into a JIC flare circuit without needing a separate conversion piece in between. It's zinc plated steel construction, made by Eaton Aeroquip under their 2030 series.
