got a hose end that’s 3/4-16 JIC, will this adapter screw right on and still give me a 3/8-18 pipe thread on the other side?

For a straight male-to-male hookup, it matches those ends: one side is 3/4-16 SAE 37 degree flare (JIC) male, and the other side is 3/8-18 male NPTF.

Connects a 3/8-18 male NPT pipe thread on one side to a 3/4-16 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other, and it is a straight (in-line) adapter in the Eaton Aeroquip 2021 series.

That's what this one's built for. One end is 3/8-18 male NPT, the other is 3/4-16 male JIC with a 37-degree flare seat. Both ends are male, so you'd be threading the NPT side into your port and mating the JIC end to a female JIC fitting on your line. Straight configuration means no offset or angle, just a clean inline connection.
