got a hose end with a 1-7/8-12 jic 37 flare, will this adapter screw right onto it?

The JIC side on this adapter is a 1-7/8-12 male JIC with a 37 degree flare. That matches a hose end or fitting that has a 1-7/8-12 female JIC 37 degree flare swivel.

Got a pipe fitting that's 1-1/4-11-1/2 NPT on one end and need to tie into a JIC 37 degree flare line on the other, this adapter do that in a straight shot?

That's what this one's built for. One end is 1-1/4-11-1/2 male NPT and the other is 1-7/8-12 male JIC 37 degree flare, all in a straight configuration. No elbow, no offset. It's part of the Eaton Aeroquip 2021 Series and handles the pipe-to-flare transition in a single fitting.
