got a tight spot on a hose run, is this the 90 degree elbow that goes from 3/8-18 male npt over to 7/8-14 male jic flare?

That's what this adapter is built for. One end threads into a 3/8-18 female NPT port, and the other end connects to a 7/8-14 male JIC 37 degree flare fitting. The 90 degree elbow lets you change direction right at the port, which saves space and keeps hose routing cleaner in tight installations.
