i’ve got a hose end that’s 7/16-20 JIC, will this elbow screw right onto it and still give me a 1/4-18 pipe thread on the other side?

For a fit check, the JIC side on this adapter is a 7/16-20 male SAE 37 degree flare, and the other end is a 1/4-18 male NPTF pipe thread. It is a 90 degree elbow, so it also turns the connection at a right angle.

trying to hook a 1/4 NPT line to a JIC hose end. is this the one that does 1/4-18 npt to 7/16-20 jic, and it’s a 90 elbow?

Yes. It’s a steel 90 degree elbow adapter with a 1/4-18 male NPT (external pipe) on one end and a 7/16-20 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other.
