Product Questions & Answers

Will this fitting hold up for hooking up a hydraulic line on my tractor? Seems like a pretty straightforward elbow.
Question by: Rex H on Dec 13, 2025, 8:15 AM
This steel adapter is suitable for hydraulic applications, offering a 90-degree elbow configuration between a 1-1/2 inch male NPT thread and a 1.50 inch hose barb.

Got a 1-1/2 inch NPT male thread on my pump outlet, this barb fitting gonna mate up right to that?
Question by: Wes K on Apr 3, 2025, 11:24 AM
That thread spec is 1-1/2-11-1/2 NPT on the male end, so yes, it'll connect directly to a standard 1-1/2 inch NPT female port without any adapters in between. The barb side is sized for 1.50 inch inside diameter hose, so as long as your hose ID matches that, you're set on both ends.

got a 1-1/2 inch hose, does this elbow match up to it or am i off a size?
Question by: Harvey F on Feb 21, 2026, 6:17 PM
It’s set up for a 1.50 inch hose ID on the barb side, so it matches a 1-1/2 inch hose.
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 23, 2026, 10:28 AM
So this is steel, not brass, right? Just want to double check before I order.
Question by: Harvey K on May 11, 2025, 10:13 AM
Confirmed, this adapter is made from steel. It's designed for durability in industrial applications.

trying to hook a 1.5 inch hose up to a female npt port, is this the elbow that does that?
Question by: Dwight B on Dec 10, 2025, 8:27 PM
For a hose-to-port connection where the hose side is 1.50 inch ID and the port side is NPT, this adapter is made for that job. It has a 1.50 hose barb on one end and a 1-1/2-11-1/2 male NPT thread on the other, with a 90 degree elbow to turn the line.
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 12, 2025, 2:49 PM
got a 1-1/2 inch NPT port on a manifold and need to run a 1.5 inch hose off it at a right angle, this the right fitting for that?
Question by: Eddie T on Jul 8, 2025, 9:05 PM
That setup is exactly what this adapter is built for. The male NPT side is 1-1/2-11-1/2, which threads directly into a standard 1-1/2 inch NPT port, and the barb end is sized for 1.50 inch hose. The 90-degree angle handles the direction change right at the connection point, so you're not fighting the hose to make a bend close to the fitting.
