got two 1/8-27 pipe ports i need to tie together, is this the straight male to male piece?

For joining two female 1/8-27 NPT ports in a straight run, that’s exactly what this adapter is. It has 1/8-27 male NPT on both ends and a hex in the middle so you can wrench it in.

fitting is steel right? trying to figure out if itll hold up running through a grease system without corroding out on me

Steel construction on this one, yes. Grease systems are actually listed right in the application range for this adapter, along with instrumentation and most hydraulic systems. For a grease line application, that's a solid fit.
