got a tight spot on a pipe run. is this the 90 degree elbow that goes from 3/4-14 male npt to 1/2-14 male npt?

That's what this adapter does. Both ends are male NPT, one at 3/4-14 and the other at 1/2-14, and the body turns the connection at a 90 degree angle. So if you're stepping down thread size while also changing flow direction in one shot, this handles both without needing extra fittings in the line.
