got two hoses with 1/2-20 jic ends, i just need a straight union to hook em together. is this the right piece?

For tying two same-size JIC flare ends together in a straight run, this adapter fits that job. It is a 2027 Series union with 1/2-20 male JIC 37 degree flare on both sides.

Will this fitting work for hooking up hydraulic lines on my tractor?
