i’ve got two lines that are both 1-5/8-12 JIC, is this basically just a straight union to tie em together?

Function-wise, it is a straight union adapter that connects a 1-5/8-12 male JIC 37 degree flare on one side to a 1-5/8-12 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other, so it’s meant for joining two matching JIC 37 flare connections in-line.
