got a piece of equipment running BSPP ports and the other end is JIC flare -- this the right adapter to bridge those two?

Yeah, that's exactly what this one's built for. One end is 1-5/16-12 Male JIC 37 degree flare, the other is 1-1/4-11 Male BSPP. If your JIC side takes a 1-5/16-12 fitting and your BSPP port is 1-1/4-11, you've got a match. Both ends are male, so make sure your connections on each side are female before ordering.
