Product Questions & Answers

Got a brake line that ends in a -04 JIC flare and I need to tie it into a 7/16 banjo fitting, this the right piece for that job?
Question by: Dwayne C on Jul 13, 2025, 7:40 PM
That's what this adapter is built for. One end is a -04 male JIC 37-degree flare, and the other ties into a 7/16-inch banjo fitting. The straight configuration means both connections run inline with each other, so it works best when your routing doesn't require any angle change at the junction. Common use case is brake line assemblies and hydraulic brake circuits on mobile equipment.

i’ve got a brake line with a 7/16 banjo on one end, what’s on the other side of this adapter?
Question by: Norm P on Oct 22, 2025, 9:41 PM
On the other end you get a -04 male JIC 37 degree flare connection, so it transitions between a 7/16 inch banjo fitting and a -04 JIC flare in a straight, in-line layout.

Will this here adapter hold up okay on a farm truck that sees some rough use?
Question by: Rusty M on Nov 4, 2025, 9:17 PM
Steel construction provides good durability for brake systems on mobile equipment and vehicles. It should be suitable for the pressure and vibration typical of farm truck use.
