what's this tee adapter made out of, and is it gonna hold up in a hydraulic system runnin regular mineral-based oil?

Mineral-based hydraulic fluid is well within the scope of what this fitting is used with day in and day out.

got a tee with 7/8-14 JIC on all three ends, is this the right one or am i mixin it up

Function-wise, it’s a 2033 Series steel tee adapter with SAE 37 degree JIC flare connections. Both the branch and the run are 7/8-14 male JIC 37 degree flare, so it’s meant to split or tie together lines that use that same JIC flare thread size on all three ports.
