Just want to make sure, this is just a straight adapter right? No weird angles or anything?

That's correct, this is a straight bulkhead adapter. It connects two SAE 37-degree flared fittings in a straight line.

got a bulkhead setup and need jic on both sides. is this one straight through, same size both ends?

Straight bulkhead union adapter with a 1-5/16-12 male JIC 37 degree flare on each side, so it passes the same JIC size straight through a panel or bulkhead.

both ends are the same size and thread, right? just want to make sure this ain't a reducer before i order a handful of these

Correct on both counts. Each end is 1-5/16-12 Male JIC with a 37 degree flare, so you're getting a true union configuration, same size straight through. No reduction happening here.
