what all can this tee adapter be used for? hydraulic lines, or is it more of a specialty fitting?

Hydraulic systems are the main home for this fitting, but it also sees regular use in instrumentation and chemical processing setups. The 37 degree JIC flare connection is pretty common across those industries, so if your system already runs JIC fittings, this tee drops right in without a lot of fuss. All three ports are 3/4-16 Male JIC, so you're working with the same thread and flare angle on the run and the branch side.

got a bulkhead setup and need to split a line, is this the tee that’s 3/4-16 male JIC on the run and the branch too?

Built as a bulkhead branch tee, it gives you a 3/4-16 male JIC 37 degree flare on the run and a 3/4-16 male JIC 37 degree flare on the branch, so you can pass through a panel or bracket and take off a branch at the same thread and flare style.

that's precisely what it's for. This adapter lets you branch off from a main hydraulic line into two separate lines, all using those 37-degree JIC flare fittings.
