got a hose end with 3/8-19 BSPP on it, will this union hook it straight to another 3/8-19 BSPP port?

For a straight, same-size connection, it matches 3/8-19 male BSPP on both ends, so it is meant to join two 3/8-19 BSPP female ports or fittings in-line.

Since it's made to industry standards for British Parallel threads, it should integrate just fine with your other BSPP fittings.
