Reckon this'll hook up alright with my existing quarter-inch JIS setup? Don't wanna get the wrong size, you know.

This steel adapter is designed to connect directly to other 0.25-inch JIS 30-degree flare fittings, so it should integrate seamlessly with your current system.

got a quarter inch jis 30 degree flare line on both sides. is this just a straight union to tie em together

Built as a straight-through union, it connects a 0.25 inch JIS 30 degree flare on one side to the same 0.25 inch JIS 30 degree flare on the other, so you can join two matching JIS flare tube ends.

Got a line running 1/4 inch JIS 30 degree flare on both ends and need to join em straight through. This the right part for that?
Question by: Johnny T on Nov 3, 2025, 8:00 PM
For a straight union between two 1/4 inch JIS 30 degree flare lines, this is exactly what you need. Both ends are the same connection type and size, so it bridges two matching fittings without any conversion. The steel construction holds up well in hydraulic line work where you need something solid and reliable at the joint.
