what tube size does this flare nut fit, the 3/16 inch OD?

this one is sized for 0.19 inch OD tube, which is your 3/16 inch tubing. The A dimension on it is 0.6 and the B dimension comes in at 0.44, so double-check those figures match up with whatever fitting body you're threading it onto before you put the order in.

got a little aeroquip setup and i lost the nut off the end, is this 1290-3S just the replacement flare nut or a whole fitting

It’s a spare part Versil-Flare nut from the Eaton Aeroquip 1290 Series. It’s the nut only, meant to replace the flare nut on the fitting, not a complete fitting assembly.
