Does this fitting need a mandrel during the crimp process, or is it one of those straight-shot installs?

No mandrel required on this one. It's a flat crimp design, so you skip that extra step and get straight to the crimp. No thread sealant is needed either, which keeps the install clean and simple.

got a -16 hose with a JIC end, is this the straight female swivel that fits the 1-5/16-12 thread?
