got a hose end with a 3/8-18 female swivel on it, will this adapter let me hook it to a 1/4-18 male npt port?

Function-wise, yes. It’s a straight steel adapter that goes from a 3/8-18 female NPT swivel (NPSM internal pipe swivel) over to a 1/4-18 male NPT (NPTF external pipe) connection.

Will this here adapter fit right on my setup where I got a 3/8" female NPT swivel needin' to hook up to a 1/4" male NPT? Just wanna be double sure 'fore I order.

This straight adapter is made to connect a 3/8-18 female NPT swivel to a 1/4-18 male NPT.

Got a line running 3/8 female NPT on one end and a 1/4 male NPT fitting on the other. This adapter gonna bridge that gap without needing extra pieces in between?

That's exactly what this part is built for. The swivel end is 3/8-18 female NPT and the fixed end is 1/4-18 male NPT, so it connects those two thread sizes in one straight adapter with no additional couplings needed. The swivel feature on the female end also helps take some of the rotational stress off the connection during installation, which makes it easier to get a clean, tight fit without twisting up the line.
