Trying to hook up a 1/2-14 female swivel on one side and a 3/4-14 male pipe thread on the other, with a 90 elbow. is that what this adapter is?

For that kind of hookup, it matches up as a 90 degree steel elbow adapter with a 1/2-14 female NPT swivel end (NPSM) and a 3/4-14 male NPT end (NPTF).

fitting goes from half inch female swivel to 3/4 male NPT on a 90 degree elbow - is that right? trying to make sure i got the right one before i order

That's what this adapter does. The female end is a 1/2-14 NPSM swivel, and the male end is 3/4-14 NPT, all in a 90 degree elbow configuration. The swivel feature on the female side makes it easier to get a clean, non-twisted connection when you're routing lines in tight spots.
