what industries is this adapter actually rated for? trying to figure out if it'll hold up in a food processing setup

Food and beverage processing is one of the listed applications for this adapter, along with chemical processing, pulp and paper, marine and military use, and offshore drilling. So a food processing environment is well within the scope of what this fitting was built to handle.

trying to hook up a 3/4 npt male port but i need a 45 to clear the frame, is this the right fitting?

For a 45 degree turn with 3/4-14 NPT threads on both ends, this adapter matches that job. It has a 3/4-14 female NPT swivel on one side and a 3/4-14 male NPT on the other, built as a 45 degree elbow in the Eaton Aeroquip 2049 series.
