Got a #8 female JIC line that needs to step down to a #6 male JIC connection, this the right piece for that?

That's what this adapter is built for. One end is a 3/4-16 female JIC 37 degree flare, the other is a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare, both running the same flare angle so the seats mate up clean. It's a straight configuration, so no offset or angle to account for during installation.
