trying to hook a 3/4-16 female JIC swivel up to a 9/16-18 male JIC, is that what this adapter does?

It’s a straight steel reducer union that connects a 3/4-16 female JIC 37 degree flare swivel end to a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare end.

Got a 3/4-16 female JIC line I need to bring down to a 9/16-18 male JIC fitting. This the right piece for that?

That's what this adapter is built for. One end is a 3/4-16 female JIC 37 degree flare swivel, and the other is a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare. It runs straight through with no offset, so if your line and port are lined up and those are your thread sizes, this is the correct reducer adapter for that connection.

That's what this adapter is for. It's designed to connect those two sizes of JIC fittings with a 37-degree flare.
