trying to swap out an elbow on a line, is this one 9/16-18 on both ends and JIC flare?

Both ends are SAE 37 degree flare (JIC) with 9/16-18 threads. One side is a female JIC swivel and the other is a male JIC, and the body is a 90 degree elbow.

Got a tight spot on a hydraulic line where I need to make a 90 degree turn with a JIC fitting. This one swivel on the female end, or is it fixed once you torque it down?

The female JIC end on this adapter is a swivel, so it stays rotatable until you tighten the connection. That gives you some room to work in cramped installations where lining everything up before final torque makes a real difference. Once both ends are seated and tightened, the assembly locks into position. The male JIC end is fixed, so you're working the angle off that 90 degree elbow geometry combined with the swivel adjustment on the female side.
