trying to swap a straight fitting for an elbow, is this one female JIC swivel to male JIC and both ends are 1-5/16-12?
Question by: Todd H on Jun 5, 2025, 3:22 PM
Function-wise, it is a 90 degree elbow adapter that goes from a 1-5/16-12 female JIC 37 degree flare swivel on one end to a 1-5/16-12 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other.

Got a 90 degree JIC elbow I'm trying to swap out on a pulp mill line, this a swivel on the female end or both ends?
Question by: Travis S on Dec 15, 2025, 7:03 AM
Just the female side swivels on this one. The 1-5/16-12 female JIC end has a swivel, which lets you rotate it during installation to line things up without twisting the line itself. The male JIC end is fixed. That setup is pretty standard for tight routing situations where you need some adjustment on one side but a solid, stationary connection on the other.
