trying to replace an old elbow, are both ends on this one 1-1/16-12 JIC 37 degree?
Question by: Rick W on Feb 23, 2026, 11:15 AM
Both connections are SAE 37 degree JIC with 1-1/16-12 threads. One side is a 1-1/16-12 female JIC 37 degree flare swivel and the other is a 1-1/16-12 male JIC 37 degree flare.

Will this elbow adapter work for connecting two JIC flared fittings that are both 1-1/16-12?
Question by: Terry C on Jun 22, 2025, 6:40 AM
It's designed to connect two SAE 37-degree (JIC) flare fittings, both sized 1-1/16-12, making it a union elbow.

i’ve got a 1-1/16-12 jic line and need to kick it over 45 degrees. is this the one with a female swivel on one side and a male jic on the other?
Question by: Janet H on May 30, 2025, 7:59 AM
For a 45 degree change in direction with JIC 37 degree flare ends, this adapter matches that setup. It is a steel 2070 series elbow with a 1-1/16-12 female JIC 37 degree flare swivel on one end and a 1-1/16-12 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other.

what industries is this fitting actually rated for? trying to figure out if it'll hold up in our processing environment before i order a bunch of em
Question by: Neil S on Sep 12, 2025, 4:54 PM
Marine, military, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage, and offshore drilling are all listed application areas for this fitting. If your environment falls into any of those categories, you're in the right ballpark. It's an Eaton Aeroquip 2070 series piece, so it's built with demanding industrial use in mind.
