trying to replace an old bulkhead fitting, how do i tell if this one matches up?

Match it by the thread callouts on both ends. This adapter is a straight bulkhead with a 3/4-14 female NPTF on one side and a 1-1/16-12 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other, sized for 3/4 inch tube OD.
